… the 2023 Class 40.
Class 40 - Designed primarily for short-handed offshore and coastal racing.
The Class 40 is a rapidly growing class that is designed through a box rule stipulating maximum and minimum design parameters and managed by the Class 40 Association, based in France.
For our Australian client, this Class 40 is designed as a semi-scow bow.
The box rule tried to stop that trend with bow volume and sheer dimension restrictions, but by carefully working through the design in Measured Trim, we were able to get around that rule a little as well as offering a more aggressive aesthetic about her.
